Golden Hubbard produces large fruits with short to no neck and thick slightly pointed bottoms. The texture is lumpy or warted and bright orange red in color. The flesh is thick, nutty, and dry. Suited to baking or roasting. This full-sized vine can grow eight feet or more long and will product 3 to 4 squashes per vine. Often planted in clusters of three plants with 8 to 10 feet between clusters, giving the large vines room to grow. An excellent storage squash.
