MicrogreenGrowing Astro Arugula in the Herb or Vegetable Garden
Direct sow outdoors beginning as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring, or start indoors anytime in spring. Thin to the strongest plants spaced 4 to 6 inches in the row, then thin again to 12 inches apart for mature plants.
Successive sowing is recommended. Stop sowing in early summer and star again in early fall. Arugula does not like high heat and will bolt easily. The small white flowers are edible, but by then the leaves are too sharp for many palates.
Harvesting Astro Arugula
Can be harvested at almost any stage, from small seedlings to fully mature plants. Arugula is a fast-growing, cut-and-come-again crop, so harvest frequently.
