How to Grow White Stem Radishes
For large microgreens or salad greens, wash the seeds thoroughly before planting, and scatter the White Stem Radish seeds over the soil. Cover with a thin layer of good soil. Keep your microgreens covered until they have sprouted through the thin layer of soil. If covering with a paper towel, you should be able to pull the towel away without the new sprouts sticking to it. Allow to sit in an area with plenty of light. If growing as a garden radish sow after last frost for spring planting, or in early fall for a fall harvest. Cool weather is important, if you live in a warm area, avoid midsummer planting. Keep the soil moist, and water from ground level.
Smaller greens can be grown indoors. This helps for both the size and for temperature control. NOTE: Microgreens need to mature in darkness, so keep them covered for a few days, then ensure that they get 10 hours of full sunlight per day, or use grow lights.
Harvesting White Stem Radishes
Harvest these delicious microgreens about 8-12 days after planting. Harvest by cutting with scissors when the seedlings reach 3 or 4 inches tall.
